And to think, I was just freaking out over the fast forwarding in Hulu... instead you blew my mind. Thanks!
-Mike
So I read this posting, and your twitter feed, and am very excited for you. Emphasis on you... since I can't partake the forbidden fruit, no alpha for me yet. Yup, I got an Apple TV, and a hankering for some boxee love.
Am trapped in my ATV relationship -- the sparks don't fly anymore. When I wake up in the morning, I look over at it, questioning if it's the right thing for me, and where I am headed. All I get back is a blank stare.
I want to try something new, but instead all I hear is "Me, Me, MobileMe." I want to experiment, explore, and have an open relationship. I have a weakness for Hulu, get tingles for tweets, and think seeing Picasa could be the spice I need now. My friends know what I am talking about -- they moved on, and now regale me with their previous night's adventures.
I need help.
patiently waiting though ('cos i've no time to poke around n help:)
FANTASTIC news.
dang dang dang.
I would be very pleased to help debug the Windows version. Let me in. :)
Great work guys!
boxee is amazing
PLEASE support us Front Row users who also want to watch our iTunes video purchases!!
I've been eagerly waiting for my boxee invite and nothing as of yet. Please help.....!!!!
I believe that until the Boxee team can plug into the GPU the performance will never be quite as good as the PC versions.
Too bad that so many of the services (including Netflix) aren't available for us here outside the USA, but that's not your fault...
Now take a few days off and then start working on some skinning options and other cool features and squish those nasty bugs...! When is the next release due...?!? ;)))

Should I update to 2.3 and then reinstall Boxee via stick -- is that the proper way to do things? If I don't care about 2.3, should I just skip the official update and update Boxee?
thanks
For some reason, while I am still able to browse network sources which have already been previously added (these are Airdisk drives connected to an Airport Extreme Base Station), I am no longer able to browse my network sources.
When I go to Add a New Network Source,
Instead of seeing AIRPORT-EXTREME and being able to browse the drives connected to it as I normally would, I only get the single option of manually entering an IP address. I'm no longer able to browse any of the computers connected to my network. Again, I'm able to access network media sources I added prior to my upgrade to 0.9.5.4497, I just can't add any new sources by browsing the network. I've tried restarting both the ATV and my Airport Extreme Base Station.
Similarly, when I go Videos > Browse > Network Sources I see WORKGROUP listed. Normally I would be able to select WORKGROUP which would then bring up the names of my networked computers along with my Airport Extreme networked drives. Instead, I now get a dialog box stating "Loading Error: Error fetching data."
By the way, the rest of the updates are fantastic! Boxee has more than quadrupled the usefulness of my AppleTV!
To those saying the AppleTV is "nothing" without Boxee - I beg to differ. It's been a wonderful device these last two years and has enabled me to enjoy my video and music collections anew!
But a big thanks to Boxee for innovating an already great product! New content options are great, but so is the overall user experience. ;) Keep squashing those bugs and keep it simple. :)

You all rock! Way to make the coolest piece of mac software in existence!
Great work on the update though. I love how much you guys have added to my appletv.
It's shame about Netflix not working on the Apple TV-- oh well. I love the effort you guys but in your blog updates.
Thank you again!! :)
Thanks!
silverlight is *really* a show stopper, deal breaker and really a total dud
The newest Boxee is a bit Flakee tho. I've UPDATED it twice and it frequently causes an ATV black screen that won't go anywhere (can't back out, can't go forward -- the remote makes ping sounds, but no luck.) Only an unplug seems to make it operable again... Sigh
today i update, cannot connect to any of my local assets any more at at. ran update again. now i'm trying to see if i need to have the same version on imac as ATV--I dunno.
Yes, I restarted Mr ATV--surely I don't need to run ATVUSB loader again?! Any clues for a fellow boxeeteer?
Where does it say the version number in the program UI itself?
